His Story
Hmmmmmm where do I start……. So our journey actually started in LFC teens church over 10 years ago, on a sunday after I lead the choir ministration, I came back to the choir stand and sat down, I looked around and noticed someone with a beautiful mild smile and sparkly eyes staring at me, In my mind I was like why is this girl staring like this lol, the stares continued, I tried my best to look away.
After service, I noticed she sat back when service was over, we finished our prayers at the choir stand and then I saw her walking towards the choir stand, I pretended like I didn’t know she was coming. Then she said hi and that the ministration was nice, she asked questions about joining the choir and I gave her all the details.
I started seeing her more often on sundays, she had to go home a bit late after service because her mom usually had several meetings after service, we’d gist and share stories, that’s how we became really great friends, there was a time I was sick and couldn’t come to church, Alice let the choir members know, she mobilized them and found someone who knew where I lived, they all came to see me that day, I was really touched. We’ve been best friends ever since, we watched each other grow, different experiences and lessons learnt individually , for many years she was in a different state for her tertiary studies and youth service, but we never lost touch, thanks to her though, she’s just amazing at communication, she also had very few friends.
As we grew older it started to become clearer to me, that what I was searching for all the while had always been by my side, on two distinct times when I prayed about my spouse, the answer I heard in my spirit was the same, both times. The words were “How are you sure you don’t already have what you’re looking for”. When I accepted this answer and decided that this is the one for me, I felt and found peace like never before true peace, with Alice my love all decisions are easy, I commit daily to being the best man for her, I love her beyond what my words can explain, the respect she allotted me from the first day we met is still intact, it never reduced and it has only increased ever since, I appreciate that so much, she saw me even when I was low and always encouraged me of the better days ahead, God has favoured me with her and I am elated about our future together, in all seasons I would always love and cherish my sweet, beautiful and virtuous Alice.
Her Story
I remember back then at LFC teens church, since I love to sing I decided to join the choir to serve and on that Sunday service. King was the one who led the praise session. I danced my heart out alongside the entire congregation as it was truly a powerful ministration and definitely an unforgettable service. After service, since I was seeing him for the first time in the choir, I began to stare at him wondering who this handsome young man is and how ive never noticed him in the choir. I walked up to him when service was over to ask for details on how to join the choir. He gave me all the information I needed and that was the first time we spoke.
Choir rehearsals happened every Saturday in church and I made sure to be punctual to every rehearsal but no matter how early I arrived at the venue I would always meet King there busy with a task trying to make sure rehearsals went well whether it was arranging the chairs, working on the sound system or tidying the venue He was consistent. I admired His heart for God, His humility in service and commitment to the Choir.
Overtime we became good friends we would gist after rehearsals and Sunday service and take pictures too, there was a time He didn’t show up for rehearsals which was odd, I investigated and discovered he was Ill, so i notified the choir members and suggested we visit Him at home to see how he was doing, we did and we prayed for him before leaving, He was really touched by that single act and drew closer to me and from that day onwards we became close friends with no strings attached Lol.
Years went by and we remained close friends, we helped and encouraged each other through tough seasons at different points in our lives and we even gave each other relationship advice at some point Lol. Fast forward to when I started praying to God for a spouse. I made a detailed list of the qualities I wanted in a spouse and prayed earnestly to God about it and gradually God began to show me those qualities in Him. Even when i was sure He was the one I never mentioned it to Him I trusted God to reveal it to Him at the right time, after 10 years of being good friends when he began to pray for His spouse God led Him to me and we began courting intentionally and to God alone be the glory I get to marry His Son ‘’my King’’ and best friend, I can’t put into words how grateful I am to God for the Gift of such a good man who will be mine to love and cherish forever.
